about this book
This book is the result of a keen and exciting collaboration among the authors who are early childhood academics, and professionals working in the field of education. They are professionals who are extremely committed to doing their best for young children, their families, and their teachers. Building on a tradition of excellence, in this book we try to motivate teachers, administrators, and caretakers to reflect upon and develop their own practices. We raise questions; what should be the content of the curriculum and how should it be taught? How is quality defined in programs for children? The dominant premise of the book is ‘quality issues’. Each chapter tackles a specific theme that supports and points to areas by highlighting not only actual learning outcomes but also developmental outcomes.
